Two Bob owners

Thats all we’ve ever had..
The only one who invested any kind of decent money was Short but put muppets in charge of it.
Never willing to take the next step and change us from the so called sleeping giant to a club that can hold its own. A brief flirt under Reid in my 45 years as a supporter is pathetic.
We’re so used to watching shite we over exaggerate the talents of anyone who shows a glimpse of anything near being any good.
Rigg isn’t going to set the world alight nor Bellingham either. They’re just decent that’s all.
This club deserves better than the penny pinching swindlers we’ve had in the past. It’s a crime that we’ve struggled so badly for the last 50 years.
If by a miracle we triumph in the play offs this owner will shit himself and we’ll be the whipping boys of nxt years premier league.
Today looks like a good day for washing. Knickers take about 10 minutes to dry.

All true, but the game's done now anyway. There's no team that would "make us proud" at the champions league end of the table now, as the elite teams are mostly mercenaries who would drop you in a heartbeat for an extra grand a week or a better shot at a medal.

And we would be the whipping boys if somehow we won the playoffs, but so will Leeds and Burnley be, who have spent way more and have much better squads. Recently relegated teams have walked the championship the last 2 years and recently promoted teams have been mostly gubbed every week in the premier league. The quality gap between the top two leagues is now a gulf and yo-yo clubs are the new normal.
Obviously want us to go up but the squad would need huge investment for us to be able to even compete to stay up, that’s the brutal truth. It’s getting harder these days.

Yet 3 years ago all 3 promoted sides stayed up. One of which is going for champions league and had a cup semi final. Its far too short a sample to say promotion is dead. If you really feel the way you've posted why are you still involved in football?
20% because the championship is a decent league to watch with a load of historic clubs in it. Way more interesting than the premier league circus, which is turning into just another dull european league fought out between 3 or 4 clubs with a load of cannon fodder beneath them.

And 80% because I like having a reason to see my marras and have a couple of pints in the Sunderland pubs of my youth once a fortnight.

You have a point that it is a very short sample size, but the way the TV money is going, plus two years where the parachute payments go back into the prem rather than spread around the lower leagues does feel like a tipping point.

And you clearly have selective memory.

Chelsea 0-3 Sunderland

Gordon
Bardsley
Richardson
Turner
Onuha
Bramble
Cattermole
Zenden
Henderson
Wellbeck
Gyan

Subs
Mignolet
Malbranque

Give me Hejlde, Anderson and Samed any day.
Picking 1 game makes it a whole lot better , the current squad has been assembled for little money .
some players that we paid nothing for are now worth a fortune.
How much did we sell Cattermole and Micheal Turner for as a matter of interest?

Aye because those players only played in one game ffs.

Have a word with yourself man.

Ok , I know it’s just one game, but it is the last one with the team Short had spent all of his money to assemble.

Anybody want to tell me that was a better team than we have today?

You can apply this to any club that gets promoted now. This isn't going to be because of KLD when it's happening to every club who go up.

"Miracle if we go up" another phrase to say when you don't want to give the board any credit.

Bore off

I can get behind the 80%. It’s the main reason I go. The problem I have with the 20% is that the only reason to find the championship interesting is if you care where you finish. And if you don’t care about promotion, why would you care where we finish? And if you don’t care where we finish, what is interesting about it?

Cant totally disagree with you.

I am more concerned about if we don’t go up we will sell players for decent money likes off
Dan neil
Cirkin
Bellingham
Rigg
Hume
Watson all ready sold
How much of the money will be reinvested

Not necessarily. The football is better quality than league 1 and local lower league clubs, but more honest and old fashioned than the continental fancy dans of the Prem. I think it is legitimate to enjoy watching individual games and celebrating individual wins and entertaining goals without caring that much about where you end up in the league.

Do you want someone to donate their own money so we can be more successful. Dead easy spending other people money.

Why does this club deserve better and not any of the other 92?
Only because Short trousered the £25m parachute payment that was meant to help us stabilise and recover. Do you notice anything about the three teams at the top of the Championship this season and how they have used parachute payments?

And we were two divisions lower than when the useless jug-eared twat arrived.

Unbelievable that people still defend him.
Short lost a fortune on SAFC.
