They were mags. I was next to the NE corner when they were crossing the car park singing about cheesy chips, why would Morecambe fans sing about the hilarious cheesy chip insult?
Because they’re small time and unoriginal and have heard/saw mags do it on social media and so copy to see if they can get a raise? It’s fairly common behaviour from fans at this level, we’ve saw it loads since down here. We’re the big fish down here and most want to have a go using any ammo they can, such as the Adam Johnson or Netflix bollocks.
Not sure, but I'll believe the Sunderland fans, including on this thread, who say they heard Geordie accents amongst the away fans. Whether it was 50, who knows. At times it sounded like 3 or 4 people trying to get anti sunderland songs going with no one else bothering to join in. I know the songs are easily seen on YouTube etc but I seriously doubt morecambe fans would sing about cheesy f***ing chips. We've seen photos and videos of mags at our games in league one previously. Hardly a stretch to think a few might have come through tonight. This is the kind of match they'd love to see us lose, they'd love telling all the others that they saw us lose to morecambe, they're sad as fuck.
A few is different to 50 like. I could perhaps believe a few, but 50 or anywhere near that man. No way. Football fans, especially teenage pissed up ones, are easily led and have quite frankly shit crack. Like I say, have seen it at our away games myself when people have attempted to sing the likes of you’ll never walk alone at Old Trafford.
