Known poynter for years and played with him a few times. Good deal for durham as he wont be on a massive contract compared to others and a good keeper batsman so a win win imo

Poynter is cack, only being retained due to lack of wk backup to Eckersley but even that is dubious with resigning of Bancroft. I would rather have kept Ricgardson, he won us several royal London games last season, poynter was useless in the Blast.

Looked perfectly adequate to me as well. I hope he has the gloves for T20.
