Quinn header against Newcastle from Mickey Grays cross

... and others

Gary Owers away to Oldham circa 1989 - screamer with 2 mins left but we lost 2 1
Another Gary Owers belter against Notts Co at home around about 1992. Won the ball on halfway line by the clock stand, cut inside and clouted the ball from about 35 yards into the Fulwell goal.

Tricky Dicky v. Pompey. Great 1-2 with Bobby Kerr. Was signed as a goalscoring full back, but Stokoe had told him to stay back. He ignored him just this once!!!

John Hawley v Arsenal (Pat Jennings Arsenal goalkeeper)

Struck it from what seemed like the halfway line (probably closer but still a canny distance) and it flew into the net in the Roker End :)
Was in the Roker that day great goal nee keeper would've saved it

Johnny Crossan 3rd goal against man utd away FA cup 1963-4 cut inside the penalty area and scored with aplomb!

It was our second and his first which started with him receiving the ball on the half way line, in the left wing position, and ghosting past 2 or 3 defenders before cutting inside beating another 2 or 3 as he ran along the 18 yard line and then firing it into the net from the edge of the area.

The run leading to his second goal (our 3rd) was almost identical up until he was brought down just inside the area and then scoring from the resulting penalty.

Many on here will have seen his first goal, maybe without realising it, because it was used by TTTV to open Shoot for a few years, but sadly I haven't been able to find it on YouTube.

Great goal!!
