I always held that opinion and I still think he was a knacker for doing it however I'm now at the point with us that he's exactly what we need on the pitch and in the dressing room.

We need to build a team of these north east youngens. Get them gelled to each other to become great friends so they don’t want to leave their mates. The club officials need to look after these lads as well so moving would be really pulling on their heart strings. We have such a great resource in County Durham footballers. I think he's still more than capable of playing in the championship. He's looked after himself very well.
