Tony Mowbray

There has been talk that he hasn’t integrated /started the foreign lads as much as the board would have liked. Benette, Ba, Lihadji,

Michut only started to get games once Evans was injured otherwise it would have been Evans and Neil to the end. Of course you can teach foreign lads English…or you can get a multi-lingual coach.

Mowbrays preferred starting 11 is made mostly of British and Irish players.

Patto, Hume, Batth, Ballard, Cirkin, Neil, Evans, Clarke, Roberts, Stewart. It would be only Amad who would be the odd one out.

I would love Mowbray to stay. He has earned it but there is no smoke without fire.
I do wonder about that a little. Also the Anderson thing. That being said, I wonder if another manager would be as brave with youth overall. Also we’ve got a massive squad and minutes are hard to come by. Getting them all sufficient minutes to keep their development going is a tough balancing act.

I think he’s away like. Iv a feeling that he was gone regardless of what happened this season.

Was said at the time that Mowbray was a steady hand to get us through the season once Alex Neil pissed off but not the long term manager.

He’s performed incredibly well this season given our injuries and striker situation but if the powers that be feel that we can do better and have identified their man to take us forward long term then so be it.

TM has every right to feel aggrieved but we can not get caught up in sentiment and have to be ruthless with both playing staff and coaching staff.

The King is dead, long live the King!

Agreed
TalkSPORT been used as a reliable source aye? Would be complete madness if Mowbray was replaced. Love him.
Well as reliable as anyone to be fair. The tweet by Fabrizio Romano is pretty much as reliable as you can get in the world of rumours

My memory is sh1t these days but I’m sure when he came it was implied he was a stopgap appointment, I wouldn’t be suprised to see him in some director of whatever kind of role.
Would he have done better with more cards to play ……….. I’m really unsure.
The club have done well so far appointment wise seen nothing to doubt their judgement.

As long as they keep kyril off Twitter

I agree with the majority of your post but not the last bit.

Mowbrays done a fantastic job and its a result based business, He has however been dragged into the playoffs by magic from the likes of Roberts, Diallo and co.

I like his style of play but I would imagine a potential new coach would have the same style if we have done our homework.

Issue is for me the standards now been set so high if we dont get off to a good start, questions will be asked.

I’m not sure if Mowbray will get us promoted if I am entirely honest but he deserves another season.

You say this but Roberts has been absolute gash for loads of managers, gone from a 7 mil wonderkid signing to given away on frees playing for peanuts at Derby county. Mowbray is the one that got him playing to the levels he is now. Not a given he performs anything like that for anew manager, histrory would suggest he wont!!

Ah right, so keep a manager because he's getting the best out of a winger, seems well thought out.

Would love a manager called Carlos Kickball like.
To be fair we have never ever gone down the foreign coach route. We had Di Canio but his experience was in the UK. I don't want to get shot of Mowbray, more because I think too much unforced turnover is not good and makes you potentially like Watford. However, at some point it would be interesting to try a go ahead, progressive foreign coach witha good track record. The Italian lad who has been coaching in Turkey unfortunately didn't have a really good record.

People would need to calm their tits if he does go.

I'd keep him personally but the decision cant be judged until you see how the new bloke performs. He could go on and win the league.

Time is needed before judging this

The manager stays as he is getting the best out of his players, Roberts being one example - That is literally a managers raison d'etre.
Why do teams sack managers after a transfer window closes, so he can get more out of the same group of players.

Just mental , best football Iv seen in decades and the spirit of the group is best Iv known it which allot is down to him, woukd feel like when big Sam left when we had a togetherness and momentum
