Tony Mowbray Rumour

Just look at his time at Blackburn.
First full season - Promoted to the Championship
Second season - 15th
Third - 11th
Fourth - 15th
Last - 8th

Win percentage - 40%

Alex Neil at Preston
First season - 7th
Second - 14th
Third - 9th

Win percentage - 38%

Not much difference.
Again.
You are letting facts get in the way of immature petulance
We've already named a park after him.
🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think its a steady appointment if not spectacular

As I said last night, it had to be sorted within 48 hours and it had to be someone who knows this league. We have no one at the club capable of taking the game against Rotherham so pace was needed.

Decent appointment imo, knows the league well and arguably overachieved at Blackburn.

Edit: genuinely shocked at Neil leaving though - you’ve got more momentum and long term potential than Stoke and probably lower short term expectations. Seems like an odd move to me so is clearly motivated by money.

Am I missing something? Did he do shite at Blackburn or something? Seemed to have a 1.47 points per game ratio at them, which would have Sunderland comfortably top half in the championship.
