Tony Mowbray - returns as Blackburn manager

based on anything other than him being like everyone's favourite granda?
Nor everyone familiar with the championship knows he's a successful and respected manager, with few being more experienced than him.

Having a win percentage of 41.3% over 20 years is all the evidence you need, and his average of 1.47 points per game means he consistently gets his teams top half / promotion chasing finishes.

He plays exciting and attractive football too and players love playing for him.

You can keep posting away on here but until you acknowledge your Star Wars wallet post, it’s pointless.

Did you find it?

and won 5 in 17 in his last championship role.
That was a bad appointment, going from Corberan's rigid and defensive setup to a manager known for free flowing attacking play was stupid.

Blackburn under Ismael played more in Tony's style and he'll have a preseason this time to prepare.

Wasn't overwhelmed when he was appointed but did wonders that season with the football we played was fantastic just coming up short at final hurdle. Overcame an absolute bastard of a disease in cancer and deserves another go at management. Best of luck to him.

Not a bad manager Mowbray. He pushed Blackburn quite far last time and plays decent and effective football. I think that is a solid appointment. When he first became our manager some Sunderland fans used his time at Blackburn as a stick to beat him with which in hindsight was unfair. Given their recent history, steadying the ship in the championship would be ideal.

Can't believe the negative comments on here about Mowbray, we played some of the best football we had played in years.
Some utter shite as well he got a bit lucky with having some talented players at the right time, top bloke decent job that's about it, he openly admitted his tactics were pretty much give it to the best players to do their thing no wonder he was limited

Thankless job that one
Owners don’t want to spend money and are apt to sell any players other teams sniff around
He won’t have a Roberts, Amad or Clarke to boost his CV while there
Best of luck to him but will be surprised if he lasts the season

Glad he is well enough to carry on.

Decent Honest man with principles and a very decent manager, wish him nothing but well. Far too few like him about.
