Tony Davison vs Methven -

Can’t really comment. But we have had a bit of a Royston Vasey boardroom for years - Murray, Fickling, Hays, Walton, Davison. Then there was that Mag fan we had on the board, I forget his name.

Wasnt it Steve Walton that people thought was a Mag? He'd worked for NUFC when Ashley took over. He was definitely not a Mag though.

I like Methevin - he seems to know his football and is very passionate.

I think it’s bizarre how short Donald and Methevins honeymoon period was - they bought the club when nobody else would (so were called chancers) they then delivered 2 Wembley visits and 1.5 top 6 seasons. We all want to be top 2 - but what we came from was an era where we could have lost our club. Last season was a 90% success because it stemmed the rapid decline we were on.

Football fans in general though isn't. Win games and you can do what you want, wear pink trousers, have a pint with fans and that's fine. Lose a few games and you're a twat for doing those same things.

I think the biggest mistake SD has made was having faith in Ross.

To be fair there does seem to be a hole in your logic. It's not clear why you've set different rules on swearing in front of men and women in the workplace
It’s just not a good way to do business. He’s got all the business acumen of a rejected apprentice candidate.

Manners cost nothing.

It’s the third tier. Generally we got upset at losing/drawing games cos we could see with our own eyes how dire the opposition were.
Simple as that.
Non-attenders cannot grasp that, and think we have no business knowledge either, well at least we can f***ing spell.

Opinons are split on CM after STID

I can understand both parties.
He is an arrogant Eton educated toff like our current PM and that gets a lot of peoples backs up. Too much to say for himself and some of it is bound to be absolute bollocks that people pick up on. - One line in STID - 'this is the most demanding crowd in football' - Bollocks, we'd be happy with getting back to the Championship for a bit.
When he said Northerners dont understand business or something similar that was the end for him.

On the plus side, he came in and shook the place up, stopped the spending. Had a few minor successes. Not hard after the previous clowns, Byrne and Bain. Lets not forget though it was all about personal gain for both of them. Opportunists, who wanted to turn the club for a quick buck. So when I see SD down at Portsmouth effing and blinding in the away end I believe it is only for his investment, nothing else.

Now I think we really are in trouble. They have no money and this stoppage will not help at all. CM has gone missing, SD has been abused in the street/online which will have lessened his hunger to get the job finsihed and he may now sell to the first chancer wholl take it of his hands.

In summary, we could have had it worse, but now it may actually get much worse.

Walton was always said to be a Sunderland fan. John Hays’ wife is a Newcastle fan, but I think Hays is a Sunderland fan.

I can’t remember the Mag fan bloke’s name. He was our FD or something in the late Murray era. I think he’d worked for the Mags.

CM went missing at half time when Fleetwoods henchmen threatened him after he went in their faces for our equaliser last season. Not that hard :/

Name his major successes
the increase in reveue frkom other sources than broadcasting rights ad gate money..
rthe concerts and the business club..

he rbought in vastly more revenue than his salary..which should be the ojective measure of a sales guy..
Maybe he is but looked out of his depth in the 4 episodes I've seen so far
out of his depth at what? tv preseting?

his target revenue was £15.5m..he brought in over £20m...left and got a job doing the same thing elsewhere..

Walker & Walton. 2 different blokes altogether. Walker=Mag. Walton=Mackem.
Knows so much doesnt he for a simpleton who cant spell and doesnt go to any games.
Time he came clean as its fecking boring now.
Nooooo. Let him carry on. The Oxford fans reckon this is great textbook stuff. According to them he’s far more entertaining when he thinks hes getting away with being anonymous.

I don't get this wembley visits, that doesn't mean success. They had a lot of players left from Premier League, a few top Championship players and top L1 ones. They got us in 5th, the worst finish in history and we're 7th after they put their stamp. They want to do well, CM is very active and all that, but they did a poor job until now.
