Tommy Watson

Absolutely not. You are right.
But they are certainly clowns for wanting a player here who is championship standard at best.

Were are / were on the cusp of Europe and people want Watson back

😂😂😂

Lets bring Patterson back as well, and Clarke.
Be done with it
No they aren't we shouldn't get Watson back but people are entitled to that opinion

I’m very grateful for his Wembley cameo, but he was actually only any good in a handful of games.

As for ‘he gets us’ …… he was very quick to jump ship.

It’s a No from me

I actually thought he would have had more opportunities at Brighton as they are known as a club who do chuck players in and develope them within the core group. To then see him shipped out on loan was not a surprise given the minutes he was getting, but to then go and warm a bench in the championship I have to say is a surprise given the trajectory he was on. Would I have him back is a serious question as we have our own issues on the left, but in Talbi and Ángulo I think we have lads that Watson wouldn’t shift anyhow so it’s a no.

FWIW

Millwall seemed a strange move for Tommy from the off. Neil was never keen on younguns - Trai hardly got a kick (60 minutes total in the league) under Neil, needed to wait for Mowbray to get his chance and hasn't looked back ever since.

Where we are now is looking for wingers that can play PL today, not those that may or may not become established PL players in future years (we've already got enough of those (Jocelin, Mundle, even Talbi).

So to answer OP. Not the right fit for our needs today - not cos he'll not make it at the top level.

Oh come on. You surely are on a wind up. Hes playing well in the Championship.

Clue is in the league

They are pal.

But thankfully. Hes not coming back 😊

You seem to have forgotten where we have been this last 8 years,we spent a lot of money last year to get us where we are but it's our youth who played a part in that, and experience in the championship brought them on some to be good solid premiership players. If Tommy was to come back with the experience around him,he could prove to be a great player and 10m a bargain for a 20 Yr old,now that's my opinion and if you don't agree I can accept it.

I think people are rose tinting how well he did for us because of the Wembley goal - he was getting pelters from a lot because he wasnt performing well and people said his head was turned after the Brighton move was agreed.
This. He had 2 or 3 good games before his injury. He was shit when he came back from injury. And then a good impact in the final.

Plenty of raw talent, but where he ends up is still a bit of a guess.
