He might not but then you’d have thought the loan move would’ve been thought through more in terms of getting him minutes on the pitch

Since Brighton are widely regarded as THE club to sign for if you’re a young starlet

‘Gets us’? He literally couldn’t wait to be away. Which is fair enough, but he doesn’t hold much affinity to the club.

Also those writing him off are nuts, he’s 20 man, loads of time for him to become a very good premier league player, he has that in his range of outcomes.

Yeah i heard. He has a disappointed loan there. Millwall is a bad choice, not suit Watson i suppose. A strange move.
I think he will learn from it and move on.

For me, Id have him back, he has a goal threat at times when if he is an excellent form.

But we havent seen the best of Angulo and Ta bi. We'll see why we went for them.

It's a bit annoying that Brighton were desperate to get him off us, and didn't really have any plan of how to use him. They tried to unsettle him the first half of the season (twice coming in late in the window with bids), and then when we played hardball (and let's be fair to Watson he was always a professional and never said anything publically) they just paid what we asked in between windows. I mean agreeing to pay ten million and us to keep playing during the season is pretty desperate stuff just for them to stick him in the reserves then loan him out.

I'm a bit worried he's going to end up like Jack Clarke was before us. Being chucked around different loan clubs who have no interest in developing him.

I would absolutely take him back.
 
Varga, Defoe, Bridges, McCartney, Leadbitter…. Even Bob Stokoe.

Does it ever end up better than the first time around? I’m struggling to think of any.

But they are certainly clowns for wanting a player here who is championship standard at best.

Were are / were on the cusp of Europe and people want Watson back

Lets bring Patterson back as well, and Clarke.
