Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

He obviously doesn't want to be here. Let him go if he wants. Did you take notice of what happened in the January window? Love a "So" response.
How does he obviously not want to be here? I agree if he wants to go then let him go, as long as we get the fee we want. In the meantime he is contracted to us so use him as he is our player and has not been a nob about any of this ( not publicly anyway)

Yes but there’s a difference between the club ‘wanting’ to sell or not. The club don’t want to sell, but understand if we get their asking price they will.

Part of us signing talented youngsters and keeping our own on longer contracts is us telling them we won’t stand on their way if a better opportunity comes up.
He's under contract so they don't have to sell, they are choosing to sell to the highest bidder....

Yet you still can’t distinguish between the ‘want’.

Also, they technically do have to sell, otherwise we won’t get a penny for him when his contract does end in that case.

He's currently contracted to the end of the summer 2026, so like I said they don't have to sell they are choosing to, Plus they would still get a fee for him at a tribunal (because of his age) if the two clubs couldn't agree a fee..

We would receive money if he leaves at the end of his contract
Mad how people are saying he's shite. He tore Sheff Utd apart down there. He's been out ages, still a young kid. He is a tremendous prospect.
No he’s had 2 iffy half games on the back of a long spell out so he must be shite. In an ideal world he stays , he has bags of talent

Staggering that people think he is shyte, don’t understand how anyone with the remotest knowledge of football would have that view, maybe PL Brighton have a different view, I know I have the lad has a tremendous amount of ability he is a kid and someone is prepared to pay several million for him…. But he is shyte yeah whatever!! He will be a big loss.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him sign for Brighton and then get loaned out. He's a good prospect, but he's not ready for Premier League football yet.

You could see the quality he had just before he got injured. He was getting right into his groove. Quality player.

Hope we get him on loan next year..

Sounds like the summer could be quite the rebuild this year, Bellingham is a certainty and Rigg surely to follow. Plenty of interest in others too..
