I know they are premier league and likely offering a very good contract but when a Sunderland lad wants to leave his boyhood club to better his career at Brighton it demonstrates the perceived lack of ambition at this club sadly.

I have had it on good authority there is some credence in the previous rumour about him wanting to move on because he wants to be first choice. I can understand why (duly noting he won’t be forcing himself straight into Brighton first team), but if he’s patient, Mundle will be sold for a profit and he would be first choice.

Move on because he wants to be first choice ..well ok but from a football point of view he's had a handful of games looking class in some and very ordinary in others..won't be anywhere near Brighton first 11.. sounds like a move for money which I suppose is fine

If he was mine I would be asking him to do what makes him happy and my parents would be the same. If he was my lad I would also be say “look, the likelihood of you been with this lass this time next year is unlikely, ignore the father in law”
