If the his club's listening to offers he does.

He's 18, not a child. Most people his age are making big decisions on their education and careers, why should a footballer be any different. When big money is on the table it's time to grow up.

To be fair though, apart from the barren league 1 years when a lot of the young talent was sold off, we've always produced players at this level. Some above. We just haven't been used to seeing them in the team very often when we were in the Prem.


Go back to the 90s you've got the likes of Smith, Russell, Mickey Gray (England international), Mickey Bridges. Then Thirlwell, McCartney, Waghorn, Leadbitter. Then Hendo, Colback, Pickford. I'm sure a few around this era went on to championship careers. Hourihane a notable example. I'm sure there's others. I remember Jordan Cook being touted for big things. Chris Brown had an alright career.

Even in more recent years there's been Watmore, Honeyman, Gooch. Greenwood at Boro. Then the lads we have in the squad now.

There's always been talent there.

If I was a fan of theirs I’d be worrying about the number of new players bonding. It can be disruptive so many new faces. We’ll see. I’m meting their foundation lead Wednesday which will be an interesting chat.

FFS...think i ll give up with u on this thread...u just dont get it do ya.....u keep harping on about club listening to offers....well they would if he wont sign new contract and wanted to leave.....if they didnt want him thet would have accepted the offer from Brighton...u do know hes goin out with Ian Hartes daughter do ya
