Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

Be no where near 8 million be amazed if passes a million - only get paid a development fee

"various factors are generally included in the assessment of whether a player´s training period must be deemed to have been completed before the age of 21, including the level of talent of the player, whether or not the player is playing regularly with the first team and the value of the player, e.g. reflected in a loan fee achieved for the services of the player."

he only played 430 minutes - so that will keep the fee well down
His contract doesn’t run out for 18 months mate

It’s not over this like. Really hope we don’t end up with a sale and no-one quality in to replace him or even any sort of sale.

Who said he travelled? The club?
No just some other shitehawk on twitter.
Tbh he probably did travel down today. If SSN journalists report something it’s usually got some truth to it, their burden of proof is much higher than “Twitter ITKs”. It’s why they’re so slow to report stuff

So he's definitely refused a new contract, but it's only "apparently" he was actually offered one?

RAOS
It’s obvious he’s been offered a new contract and turned it down. Tge mere fact t at he only has 18 months left is proof of that..the club Woukd always look to protect their assets/investment in him so it’s obvious it has been offered and refused. What so hard to understand about this?

Everyone saying “Oh he travelled down to Brighton today, must mean he wants away” don’t understand how modern football and in particular the transfer market works.

Seems a good transfer window not selling Watson and signing Le Fee and the lad from Liverpool. The cherry on top would have been signing a right winger.
Great result really. Danns looks like exactly what we’re missing, a big presence who knows where the goal is.

Le Fée is pure quality.

We’ve only strengthened as it stands, which hasn’t been said much in recent years.

Who has suggested this?

Just all the shite you read online / X like half the rumours what have been posted today what have no substance to them. Hence the big ifs.

I can't see it being true either but why would we send a player that far down the country when the deal hasn't been agreed and we've been the ones to reject it.
