I’m not being pessimistic. Someone said he shouldn’t be making these decisions at 18 and I simply said that he might never get this offer again. As usual people don’t go back to read the entire conversation and jump in 2 footed.

Difference is Embleton has never looked to have even half the potential Watson has.

When he was a kid playing for England u17s many thought he’d had far more success than Carlisle at the bottom of league 2.

I think the Embleton connection is valid. Like it’s been mentioned a player only has to take a couple of bad injuries and instead of playing higher up the pyramid the player being Embleton as the example stuck in league 2. The chance to go to a premier club I believe is a very tempting thing for any player.

I’ve read it and I don’t think young Tommy will be refusing anything. It will be advice from his agent.
