Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

We’re probably gonna get 12m+ for him which is a pretty decent fee. Hopefully we can bring in a replacement as we only really have Mundle on that side. It’s disappointing to see him go but he’s not that big of a miss compared to if we lost Jobe, Rigg etc

Danns can play left side.

Disappointed, wanted to see the lad do well with us.

Wilson, Mayenda, and Enzo have probably played more times on the left than Danns has, especially in league football. He may be able to fill in there from time to time, but I doubt we'll be looking at bringing Danns in to play on the left.

If Watson is off, we need another left winger, not someone who can fill in.

Guttering this if it goes through. Forget how good a deal it might be, football for me is more than about the business side of it. Would’ve been nice to have actually enjoyed his services for a couple of years rather than single figure matches.

If he doesn't want to be here and we get a fee that's around what is being mentioned then it's cracking business.
He goes with my best wishes, even if he's not wanting to be here.

People are going a bit overboard like.

He’s a young kid with a lot of potential, but isn’t first choice and wasn’t signing the contract.

We’ve cashed in on him, he’s not the only young player we’ve got with a lot of potential. We’ve got another one in his position on the pitch!

Id rather have kept the player. Gutted
I'd rather have kept him, but when a player asks away, all you can do is get the best deal possible.
He's largely unproven, so I wouldn't say I'm gutted, more disappointed that he's listening to his agent instead of doing what's best for his fledgling career. He won't get much game time at Brighton this season

This is down to the club no one else Tommy Watson contract should have been sorted out in the summer
Agree with this. Brighton shown their interest in the summer which should have been the indication to tie him down.
Having said that, given it seems Watson has pushed this move through - we may have tried to agree a new contract but found similar frustrations.

It's just a shame he picked up his injury as if not we'd probably have been talking towards £20m if he continued on that trajectory

Absolutely this.

The very exciting future if this club has just had some of that taken away IMO. Sad day
