No idea mate.I'm not sure if that's just a load of gash that was spouted on here as well.
Was it not because he was recovering from his back injury that he didn't sign or didn't get offered one?
Mundle might have a set back then what? We won't use any money we would get in tomorrowAs I said, he’s behind Mundle in the pecking order anyway. Mundle is due back in a couple of weeks, Watson is at least a month away.
We could use that money to strengthen in other positions.
Very short term thinkingI feel if we get 10M up front, we almost have to take it, maybe get a loan back offer through the end of the season? I think Watson projects as a massive player but 10M right now is a huge injection.
Well we aren't as we've rejected more than that today.I feel if we get 10M up front, we almost have to take it, maybe get a loan back offer through the end of the season? I think Watson projects as a massive player but 10M right now is a huge injection.
Palace are being used as fluffers.Maybe but if true that Villa and Palace are now entering the bidding and let's see what happens
He’s due back in 10 days
I didn’tI give up. Like talking to brick walls on here. People convincing themselves they are right. Find it very strange.
Harte isn't his agent![]()
£10m is worth nowt on deadline dayI feel if we get 10M up front, we almost have to take it, maybe get a loan back offer through the end of the season? I think Watson projects as a massive player but 10M right now is a huge injection.

Unreal people saying take 10 million. We aren't desperate we don't need to sellOne thing the club aren’t going to buckle at the first offer. Bodes well for when clubs come knocking for our Crown Jewels
He could.....and??????Watson could have a set back?
My mistake, I thought we had rejected 9 up front. Very tough decision to reject that amount of money.Mundle might have a set back then what? We won't use any money we would get in tomorrow

Good post. No idea of the money offered and of watsons potential. But it’s not short term thinking to consider a bidMy mistake, I thought we had rejected 9 up front. Very tough decision to reject that amount of money.
I also don't disagree that it's short-term but it's also seizing an opportunity that we don't know we'll get again. Will we be this close to a promotion battle again? Will Watson continue to develop at this rate? Will he get hurt again? Does he even want to sign a new deal here? I think it's incredible business to have developed a player so young and to have the ability to sell them for 10M+ and reinvest that back into the squad. Squad building is always about balancing incomings and outgoings, unless your club is owned by a nation.
It is short term they could try and enjoy his talent for longer and get 2/3 or 4 times more for him.Good post. No idea of the money offered and of watsons potential. But it’s not short term thinking to consider a bid
That's the tough bit, isn't it? The club will do what they think is best for their overarching strategy. They're smart and I'm sure they have a tipping point, one way or the other. I'll be pleased if Tommy is here on Tuesday, but I can also see the business if selling him.Not since it won't be administered back into the squad by tomorrow.
I think the club will need to write up that new contract tonight if they seriously want to keep him.A good season in the Prem and 10M becomes 40M. Hopefully he signs a new deal and kicks on for us.
This.Brighton will be back with another bid tomorrow probably be well over the £12 million they offered today
