Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

Agree, I think that’s down to the name as well. I think rigg has just as many admirers. It’s gonna suck in the summer if we don’t go up this team is gonna be ripped apart ain’t it.
Jobe has developed at an astonishing rate really, he is at the stage where we could have only hoped for 18 months after we brought him in. Rigg, although has the potential, that’s what it still is, potential. Jobe playing in probably the most demanding position on the pitch is playing like a 25 year old seasoned professional. Opposing players just can’t get the ball off him. I’m most comfortable when it’s him who has the ball rather than any other of our players. Oh aye, I fully expect him to be away at the end of the season for a club record, we might be able to keep him for another season if we get promoted but even that is unlikely.

The lad that started the rumour of Watson wanting to leave has hinted at Clarke coming back on loan.

Sell Watson (if he doesn't want to sign a new contract), bring Clarke in and then use the rest of the fee to bring in a right winger
Aye, also a decent option but imo, and I know this will be contraversial, we have looked a better, more balanced side without Clarke in it and we have moved on from him.

I know this has been spoken about many times, but isn't it such a shame that neither Mundle nor Watson are seen as being able to adapt to do a job on the right wing to push Roberts?
It’s fckin daft imo.
Just because the “current thinking” is inverted wingers…
There’s no law against doing something different. And that’s something that used to work years ago.

I just looked at how Josh Robertson who left us for Brighton last year is doing and he’s barely even played for their u21s.

7 appearances, some off the bench, and never completed 90 minutes.

He might have been injured like.
Yeah he has been. Has just come back from injury was out ages

I think that is more because we have better players this season and don't rely on a single person like we did with Clarke
Aye, you could be right mate but Clarke was very ball greedy as well at times, not sure he is what we need tbh but if that was the option then I certainly wouldn't turn it down as the lad was class for us and we do miss his goals.

Has to be. We can't get rid of Aouchiche and Watson and not bring anyone in surely.
We’d be massively short, we’d have to continue to play le fee out of position till mundle is back. Not sure we’re gonna see mundle fully back this season given the type of player he is he will have to be eased back or risk pulling a hammy or another muscle. Just the type of player he is explosive.
I’d be pissed off it’s just Danns and another body. Be a huge missed opportunity
We won’t have a better chance of promotion. If we fail this team will be taken apart in the summer, loans going back, players wanting to leave. This is our big chance.

I think we'd have seen more activity by now if we were going to have a real go. We seem intent on taking our time and not going mental.

Daft if you ask me considering how close we are and who we could lose in the summer.

Mundle is back in training next week. Couple weeks time and he will be on the bench

Aye agreed. I’d back us in the play offs tbh but it’s a lottery. Sheffield United and Burnley are there for the taking so will be frustrating if we don’t make a go of second spot

He will need to be eased back though, I can just see it now if we rush him back too early and he pulls a hammy within twenty mins.

It could be another example of how modern football works. A combination of agents, player power, money, impatience and greed. To think that a home-grown player makes only 12 appearances for his club at the age of 18 and gets sold. Are we just a factory? We want to see these players shine in a Sunderland shirt, not just be sold at the first opportunity.
