Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

Absolutely. Just meant that people may know him from there, didn't mean for it to sound like that was the source.

Thanks mate. Obviously I work as a journalist so may here stuff myself, as does Brad evidently.

I just hate the idea of WTF being seen as anything but lads and lasses giving an opinion on the match, so like to make sure I make clear definition between the two. Didn't mean to sound spikey!

I think we'd have seen more activity by now if we were going to have a real go. We seem intent on taking our time and not going mental.

Daft if you ask me considering how close we are and who we could lose in the summer.

Mundle is back in training next week. Couple weeks time and he will be on the bench

Considering our league position, player exits and even sales

I would like to see some movement before the close kd the window

Our league position warrants it

The risk in the summer is we’re gutted, losing a few key players and all of a sudden next season is a transition year for 26/27

It could be another example of how modern football works. A combination of agents, player power, money, impatience and greed. To think that a home-grown player makes only 12 appearances for his club at the age of 18 and gets sold. Are we just a factory? We want to see these players shine in a Sunderland shirt, not just be sold at the first opportunity.
You have really high expectations of modern day football mate.

If Prem clubs really want our players it will be really difficult to stave them off.

Sadly it would appear so, makes you wonder what the club’s ambitions are and why we bother turning up🤷‍♂️

A few getting carried away. Worth remembering that the people running the club got us into this good position. That would suggest they're capable of managing the loss of a couple of players, which is inevitable in the not too distant future, e.g. Bellingham.

I'm not happy with the sale but need to find out how much we get.

Forgetting the long term, for the here and now we're desperate for a proper left winger. Mundle is going to take time to get match fitness, so if we get a Watson replacement it'll solve that immediate problem

I’m not worried at all about what we do. The squad has continually improved year on year. We are smart operators and have our eyes and noses in many places. Watson never seemed settled to me, I thought the ‘schoolboy to match winner dream come true’ story a few months back might have changed that but despite his injury he’s had people in his ear.

Not sure if I was a sunderland fan and getting minutes that I would up to Brighton youths but don't know what they are offering I guess

I think that is more because we have better players this season and don't rely on a single person like we did with Clarke

We were better first few games with Clarke, who worked hard and played really well....

We were quite reliant on mundle for a while this season too - we have the added bonus of a more mature Jobe in his correct role, Isidor up front, Mepham and a fit Cirkin (mostly).

People just see what they want and ignore the rest.

Which makes it all the more puzzling we don't seem arsed about giving it a real go and strengthening weak areas now.

I just looked at how Josh Robertson who left us for Brighton last year is doing and he’s barely even played for their u21s.

7 appearances, some off the bench, and never completed 90 minutes.

He might have been injured like.
Hates it down there

Can’t understand this if it actually happens. Totally get the model but there has to be a balance and at the minute we’ve seen nowt of him in the grand scheme of things. Really disappointing.

That's the thing, we know Clarke can play in RLB's system because he was brilliant at the start of the season for us.

A quality winger on each wing would be brilliant for us!
