Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

If he’s actively wanting to leave , this will destroy my theory that the only loyalty you can get in football now is from players who actually from the area, it’s all about the bunce

Okay mate. If this happens then he wanted to stay all along and we had to tie him up and drag him down kicking and screaming.
Not at all mate.
If this does happen we'll probably never know the real truth of if it was him pushing the move, the club pushing the move or Brighton just wanted to sign a decent young player. There doesn't always have to be a bad guy.

Or we could just listen to some stuff some random helmet has made up on twitter.

He’s a teenager with an uncertain future, if he’s sensible and well advised he’ll do what’s best for him

Not sure what your trying to get over here, if the player is good enough he’d get a deal, if he’s not good enough he won’t, nothing to do with loyalty.
Then if a player thinks he is better then he can just leave then as long as he does not break the terms of his contract , nothing to do with loyalty. You can’t have it both ways.
Exactly, the club can only offer pro contracts to the ones who are good enough, we are not a charity.
So then neither is a football player. You can’t demand loyalty based on time spent on him if it’s not done the other way. It would be nice but you can’t cry over it

If it's £10m, take the money and get a decent forward in, maybe even two. We've got Mundle for wide left and also Isodor. Watson has promise but no guarantee it'll be fulfilled.

If he's making demands after 6 starts and a few bright moments while being advised by someone who had one of the worst attitudes we've seen when playing for us then £10 million seems a great deal.

If is the operative word though, it could just be nonsense from one bloke on twitter.

Lad looks like he has a lot of potential and it would be a shame not to get a chance to see him develop further he but if he doesn’t want to be here I’d rather we moved him on.

I personally don’t see Mundle as the obvious first choice. Once Watson got moved to the left he really impressed, if anything he will give Mundle a run for his money and would still gets starts and come off the bench every game at the very least this season. 18 year old in your breakthrough season that’s good. It all seems down to 💰 unfortunately!
