Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

Let's get this right the mags can't comment on youth football like their set up has been far inferior to both us and boro for over 3 decades, the talent we producing if they are all mags (which we kna they not) why is wor richest clerb in the wurld not producing them or snapping up the young talent
Worraboot Lewis Miley man? coulda gone anywhere in the summer but is a Geordie and lervs tha toon
We’ve got two young lads playing for us who are head and shoulders above anything those scruffy twats have brought through in 2 decades.
Aye I’m so jealous of Paul Dummet and Lewis Miley making a few cameos

I’m just hoping our sink or swim approach to his career works out. In an ideal world I’d prefer our young prospects to be introduced to the league in a measured fashion rather than thrown in game after game when our first team player gets injured.

I think he’s gonna be a great player btw, I just think it’s a bit of a sad reflection of our transfer activity when we bring in a load of more experienced players but risking a kids career is a better option than playing them.

I know “if you’re good enough you’re old enough” etc but if he has a few shit games trying to get up to speed with the league it’s not gonna do him any favours.

IIRC he was traveling with the first team a couple of years ago. Featured as sub a few times a good while back and began training with the first team just as soon as it was clear he was growing out of the stiffs. He's been handled well.

Lewis Miley is as geordie as me, which I'm not not even a tiny bit but I can put on a fake accent like n taark aboot airpurts

Would have thought it’s very unlikely Patti isn’t a mag considering he’s from North Shields. Liam Noble and fatty Luscombe are the only 2 I can think of who have since leaving made a huge point obsessing over how much they hate us
Didn’t he come out and say it on the clubs social media as loads of fans were saying that he was a mag when he broke into the team?

Edit: aye, I was right

“I’m obviously really happy here,” Patterson told the Echo. “This is my team, I have grown up supporting Sunderland.”

He obviously did very well with both goals on a difficult day. But against stronger opposition he’s still not strong enough. Very weak tackle must’ve backed out of half a dozen 50-50 today. I know he’s been thrown in, but we shouldn’t overuse him and think he’s the next big thing. The lad needs time to develop properly.

If you’re quick you can delete this. He scored twice. Should have had his hat trick. Hit the post and should have had 2 assists as well as being a massive threat every time he had the ball. Oh and he won more tackles than any Sunderland player today, pretty good if he is weak In them and backs out of 50/50s.

Loads of plastic mags in easington tbh probably more of them than Sunderland fans
Not sure about that mind
I kna quite a few safc fans from Easington who go to our games
Was in the Moorcock few month ago in Peterlee and loads mlfs in after our game.
Think we are ok down that way still

He won plenty today and didn’t shirk his defensive duties.

I will be bookmarking this for future reference . Worst post since Kane is a flash in that pan .

Thing I like about watson is after 2 games he doesn’t look out of place at all
Might not be what everyone wants to hear but he’s nowhere near good enough yet
How can you have this take after he ran the show away to sheff u and bagged 2 today. Bizarre

Absolute tosh.

Even if it were on the money, and it isn't, you watch a lad of 18 deliver a man of the match performance and choose to nitpick over skills you'll rarely see in a winger at any level?

Any of the Easington lads on here know if the family are lads fans or mags? Mag mate winding me up saying all our young academy lads are mags. Not that it particularly matters so long as they do the business for us.
Should never support the scum coming from there

Totally agree

Totally agree with this.

He had scored 5 in 5 for the u21s to start the season and had Brighton sniffing around in the summer. Absolutely nothing wrong with him being around the squad and then coming in when Mundle gets injured.

If he plays 2/3 games a week consistently, he will need a rest at some point. But for Tuesday he will be the first name on the team sheet and deservedly so.
