There's loads saying this without any evidence whatsoever to back it up.Who says he wants to leave?
People just make stuff up
Any evidence for this leap?
How long on his contract ??
This is actually a very good point. Especially considering Jack Clarke had only made four starts the previous season. So on the one hand I don't mind if we sell. He's been an unexpected bright spot, but he's a handful of games into his career. If we get money that helps us now, we basically de-risk on a player who may end up being world-beating, but may also not. Ultimately it's about whether there's a plan for what comes afterwards.
But
This is apples and oranges. Clarke is much older in football years, and the degree of scepticism about how he'd pan out in the PL was based on prior experience for other clubs, but if you want to compare the two players, it's much closer to Tottenham buying 3rd place in Championship Leeds United's 18yr old winger Jack Clarke for £10m back in 2019 - oh, and they then loaned him back for the next season.
With inflation, plus the Winter transfer premium, I'd suggest somewhere between £10-15m isn't inconceivable depending on how they rate him.
18 monthsHow long on his contract ??
More like 3.... but money talks i suopose15 million man
Why on earth would the pay 15 million
We'd be better off keeping him for 18 months and him leaving for free than accepting £5m.Where are ppl getting £15m from, i don't think it be that high, max £5m with add ons i reckon
We turned down 2 before he had played a 1st team game. I want to keep him but anything less than 10 million and tell them to do one. I wouldn't want to sell for that as he has just started and is one of us. Let him become a future club legend and his price rises more each season but that depends if he signs on for longerMore like 3.... but money talks i suopose
We'd be better off keeping him for 18 months and still enough time for him to sign a new contract and leave for £30m plus in the future
Aye, he's a MLF anarl. He loves it here, he will sign a new contract i think
We'd be better off keeping him for 18 months and him leaving for free than accepting £5m.
No incentive to sell for 5m. He's on very low wages. He has 18 months left.Where are ppl getting £15m from, i don't think it be that high, max £5m with add ons i reckon
Same as Rigg, has his best mates and brothers in academy aswellAye, he's a MLF anarl.
Rigg is a mag. Been to the mags games etc.Same as Rigg, has his best mates and brothers in academy aswell
Sorry pal, you haven't got a clue about the game
Young Tommy is a very powerful and athletic player, he's very two footed. His decision making is on an obviously very upward curve and anyone who has actually wated the lad play will have seen this.
I wouldn't say he's our most valuable player ever, but he could potentially become one the top few for sure
He has huge potential, I can see it with my very experienced football eyes
That's the game.Ha'way the balance sheet!
His brother is.Rigg is a mag. Been to the mags games etc.
I don’t care like but this stuff about him being a sland fan is wrong.
He getting in ahead of mitoma likeOr his path is blocked by Mundle and he'll double his wages knowing that after 1 good season at Brighton he'll go to Chelsea for 60m?
