Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

Nathan Broadhead who can barely get a start for Ipswich? He's started 4 games and 6 as sub this season.

Did he drop his demands when he signed for them? 😂
He was a starter when he signed for them tbf as it was in league one. Alex neil even talked about it.

I'm very surprised at people thinking players don't demand certain things when 6 months ago people were saying jobe was guaranteed games and its well known Jude asked man utd for guaranteed games to go there.

How do you know he's refused to sign a new deal?
He’s got 18 month left and the club look to me to be actively looking for clubs to bid for him.

That either tells me they want to cash in on a young player, but when you look at them tying down much better players than Watson, tells me that’s a load of shite.

Or Watson won’t sign a new contract and the club want the best deal possible.

Not really the same at all is it?

This is Mundles first full season as a pro and Watson came in and done very well.

Harrison jones has never started a league game and dan Neil is the captain. Absurd comparison
Your playing devils advocate. We both no Tommy Watson or his agent wasnt demanding he must under no circumstances play ahead of Mundle or hes not signing a new deal.

If it's true he's been making demands about starting over this player or that player, I'd be getting shot. If you want to play over Mundle, make sure you play better than him and you will.

I doubt that's true though.
This. I just can’t see any club entertaining “guarantees” that a player plays because it’s in his contract. It’s bollox imo. Any player can lose form and quickly. Imagine if we had someone like Rodwell demanding that (although he would be more likely to demand he doesn’t play) ..look no further than Rashfird at UTD, been catagorically told he’ll play when he trains properly and does tge things he needs to be doing on the pitch. Having guarantees would be totally counterproductive for any club, a race to the bottom.

Danny Graham? f***ing hell. Like taking dietary advice from Rik Waller.
Why is Danny Graham advising our young players?

Hope there’s no one else being advised by that wanker.

(If there is, I love you Danny. Big hugs and kisses. Stop trying to sell our players). Xoxo

Players do have promises and guarantees to play certain amount of games.. It's why Bellingham went to dortmund and not Man utd.

Also why we got Jobe so cheap as Birmingham didn't give him agreed games.

He look an excellent prospect but so far he’s done very little, moving to the premier league is a massive step up, he’s not getting a start for Brighton either.

Can't believe how vexed people on here are getting. Brighton is literally the best club in the world for a young player to get on their CV.

in the last 3 years theyve sold:
Moisés Caicedo - 115m, Alexis Mac Allister - 55m, Marca Cucurella - 50m, Ben White - 50m,

Bissouma, Sanchez and Trossard all been sold to the traditional big 6.

Evan Ferguson form has dipped and he still has interest at 40m.

Even players who don't make it there like Viktor Gyokeres have gone on to be the hottest property in Europe.

If they're interested in you it's negligence towards your career not to go.

There is an offer of a new contract. And from what I know, that was what he wanted. Fully understands he has his current deal for the next 18 months, so as a result, the club will cash in now at the maximum value.
Are you tge bloke of Twitter who broke the news about mundle and Browne injury?

No other team in the country values youth and gives opportunity’s to young lads to play and prosper more than us. For a young player who happens to be a Sunderland fan with all the tools to develop into a top player be advised to leave now is absolute madness! Would be a huge shame. Mundle has been brilliant but like all wingers is inconsistent, Watson would be afforded plenty opportunities even when Mundle is fit, a lot more then he would going to a prem team that’s for sure!

If Watson wants away then fair enough and good luck to him. Brighton are an established top half premier league team, he will develop there but Sunderland have to get a good deal for him. If we get 10 million for a young lad with potential who hasn't made many starts for us then sell and get a replacement in to challenge Mundle for the left wing spot.

If imagine that Danny Graham is the absolute expert in how to get the most money out of your talent

Disappointing to see so many posters going way out and slagging off the young lad. At the end of the day, it’s an employer/employee situation and entirely up to him what he wants to do with his life.
Correct and people are entitled to criticise him for it.
