Apparently relatively few are now insured by their club. I suppose some will choose to as you or I could but the cost will be huge to cover a top level players wage I’d imagine.

Yeah he mentioned that, just done a quick search and he was paying £60k a year on insurance and I'm sure he said his knee wasn't covered due to previous injuries.
