Tom Cannon bid in - now signed for Sheff U.

He’ll end up being loaned out

Birmingham will outbid us on anyone mate
We ain’t getting close to Tom Brady’s money

I just can't see Birmingham, Wrexham and or Wycombe doing much in the Championship. Maybe steady the ship and take a couple of seasons 🤔

There are some financial restrictions in the Championship (more than League 1) to restrict the Yanks going out and buying a team.

That’s the hope. I can’t stand wrexham now like. Brum have spunked millions but got out easily. Wycombe aren’t a championship team like.

He perfectly highlights how hard it is for clubs to bring in a good striker at this level. One of the most sought after players in the league in Jan, went for a huge fee in the champ and he’s ended up being shite.

Brum will be playoff contenders next year imo.

I'm a little bit worried we were willing to pay £13m for him to be honest.

Can't argue with Speakmans and Harvey's overall job but I don't think their skills set is in picking strikers.

I think he's class and I still love him here. It's not a Tom Cannon problem just like it's not a Brereton-Diaz or Kieffer Moore problem. It's a Chris Wilder problem. They have about 6 forwards in their squad and yet have scored less than us with a couple of makeshift forwards and one whose probably yet to set foot on Wearside.
With Hamer behind them Sheff United should put rivalling Leeds for goal not us

3/4 times more than we paid for any player with the current regime, it was never happening, on loan I could see but they aren’t paying that type of transfer fee for anyone yet

I think they've done well getting Isidor and Mayenda for a total of £5m, and they've made more of an impact than the SU strikers signed recently. The difference between them and us is a guy called Gus Hamer.

Really strange comments that just alround, everything you say is wrong.

Ask again in June.
He'll see till not be worth £10m in June. Regardless

What have you seen in him to think he's class?

When he was at Stoke and Preston as well as his performances against us for Stoke. Strong, good with both feet, good in the air, takes the game to the centrehalves. I'd still love him here. Imagine Cannon getting on the end of some of crosses that Isidor has headed wide or at the keeper.

Not what I see watching him. I see small, slow, lacking physicality, and lacking any standout attributes. I see Will Grigg, basically. Even looks a like him.
