I've been to that area of Turkey for the last 5 years (different resorts) they're fine. If you get the chance go to Side, lovely place.

Aye, nice place. We've done Lara, Belek, Alanya and Side twice now. Were going to Kusadasi this year for a bit of a change. I was one of those who was adamant that I wasn't going to go Turkey.

If going to Lara or Side, is it best All Inclusive or Self catering, plenty bars/restaurants about?
nothing outside the hotels at Lara beach so AI is the only choice. Side has plenty of restaurants so S/C would be easy and cheap.
Hotels and service is great in the Antalya region.
However, if you are contemplating S/C i would recommend the Fethiye area which is far more beautiful and " turkish "
Or the Bodrum area is a far superior coastline with great views and boat trips.

All inclusive. There's not much in Lara apart from All inc hotels. They cater pretty well. If you like to get out an about a bit go to Side.
