We can all talk ourselves up and go overboard when going for an interview, just tell the interviewer what he wants to hear. Suppose some employers are more gullible than others. Though none as gullible as our lot.

Absolutely 100% this. There not interviewing someone who is managing a call centre to see how they can motivate a team with all the business speak shite that comes with it. This has got to come from past achievements. In factvof the 3 names i didnt want, cowelys, cook and johnson, johnson would have been by far behind the others. The rop and bottom is probablybhe was the cheapest and the only one who would work undrr a DOF.

I get the cynicism but those are totally contradictory positions. Even Donald isn’t stupid enough to think it’s worth sacking and paying off a manager in order to replace with worse/ same quality and get promoted. I suspect our manager salary is high for this league, it’s his f***ing terrible judgement that’s the issue here, not being a cheapskate. Same on player recruitment. The academy is a different matter, that’s clearly been under resourced.

Possibly.
But if the takeover is as close as they say, then it doesn't matter. Its just an expense that he could have avoided.

The only way it makes sense is if the takeover basically isn't happening, or that SD will be part of the leadership team in the new model anyway
