Third Test - England v West Indies (Old Trafford)

I did look at it differently, could disagree more that the game was still in the balance ,it simply wasn’t, we were near enough 200 ahead after the first innings against a team who did not get 200 in total in the first innings, and we had 10 wickets in hand with them batting last, they had no chance of winning the game nil!

The only hope they had was to bat out time, therefore we needed to give us more time as much as possible.

Was not suggesting going unorthodox but after 25 overs we were 58 for 0, which imo, was too negative, fortunately Sibley getting out allowed Root to play positive to get us on the good position we are,
Never give a sucker an even break, ever. Why risk giving them even a sniff? There was no need.
We are 400 ahead and they are 1 down already. Even with hindsight you can’t accept the way we played was correct.

You’re better than this mind.

this whole bowling performance and catching needs to be on a HOW TO VIDEO, for future test players on how to win a test
