Think it looks shite personally but also don't get it as the numbers are visible regardless, it's the names that aren't. The Diadora kit we had in 04/05 where the top of the shirt was plain for the name but the number area was still striped was class.
Phwooaaarrr look at the panel on that!Got one last week. Looks odd with numbers

Thought the same it looks far better than blank backs or like we had with Adidas( like the mags have now)When it was announced that we were going to have a solid panel on the back of our shirts, I cringed as they normally look awful and ruin the shirt.
But on this seasons shirt though, having the panel only for the number and not for the name, I think it looks absolutely class and makes the shirt. I think the players shirts look better than the supporter ones because of it (assuming there’s a name and number on the shirt of course).
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody else do that on a shirt before though. Can anybody else recall any other clubs doing it?
I’d love it to become our ‘thing’ and we carry it on even when we leave Hummel.
Oh is it a PL fancy pants rule about the panel. What’s embarrassing is when you sign off next seasons kit assuming you’ll be in the Prem and so go with a plain back panel then you’re stuck with it in the Champo.
