Can't argue with that. The only player I can see around the England set up who would show similar leadership is Morgan. He seems to have a steely determination everyone is praising Cook for, would play the game in an attacking, aggressive style (I mean field settings etc, not sledging) and I think give the players a kick up the arse. Unfortunately he hasn't convinced enough with the bat. Although he's having a decent season his form doesn't seem to have been as good as the likes of Hales, Taylor, Patel or Lees. However, at the moment I'd take a player like that who'd be similar to the likes of Cronje and Fleming. Not the greatest players in the world but they added so much to their team as captain.
It feels similar to the era that Hussain took over in, I think we need someone of his ilk to come in and least get the players scrapping for the lives and really wanting to play for England. At the moment too many, particularly the senior players, seem to be mentally shot, just going through the motions or there isn't a strong enough leader to get them out of the team.
