The town flats

Im not sure if many board members know this, but the flats by the Colliery Tavern are known to the locals as "The skyscrapers".
I'm not joking either
Have you seen how low the sky can get from November to February? I'd say it was an accurate description ;)

Nothing beats the Victoria Centre residential development for utter f***ing ugliness. I think one of the main purposes of it was to justify the development of many other slightly less ugly buildings in the area. Nottingham council have wanted to turn it in to a sprawling metropolis for some time. What a bunch of arseholes.

What it was:
I think our town planning department has been moonlighting in Nottingham, it has their delicate touch......

Ummmm I think you dont know any until you go on google

Glasgow is my answer
Have you actually been to Glasgow? Or have you just watched a bit of Taggart?

Compared to what?
Like for like?
Lets see?
Preston?
Wolverhampton?
Bolton?
Wigan?
Rotherham?
Doncaster?
Birkenhead?

I think you're talking out of your arse
It's really reassuring to know that we're only the 8th crappest town in Britain

Coventry lost it's cathedral for pretty much similar reasons
I thought the Luftwaffe bombed it mate rather than the council being inept

They could do with knocking them down and building something nice in their place, a park, For example at the one near keel square.

a new civic centre on one of the other sites

Blandford street could be the new 5th avenue

You know it wasn't a comprehensive list, just a few names of the top of my head.
Add Stoke, Wakefield & Hull to the list.

Why doesn't the council do what they did with gilly law flats?

I was in Preston last week for work and the area the office block was in was awful. Lads standing around drinking cans at half nine in the morning and when we came out at dinner time we noticed all the pubs were shut and were only open on a night until 6 am. The only place open to get anything to eat was a Tesco Extra! I would hate to have to work in that area on a dark night.

As a lads fan who has travelled round the country to most other big towns and cities to watch us, it has to be said Sunderland city centre is the f***ing pits compared to most other places in the country

why lie.....youre just being hipster in slating sunderland

obviously its true
