Absolutely how I feel like.

These owners aren't going to do everything right, that is life. Doesn't mean someone is against them when you question something.

Seems to middle ground at the minute.
It's not really about the new owners doing anything wrong tbf, it's them having to clear up some of the absolute mess left by the previous lot.

I don't think it's necessarily a case of not understanding it. For all Donald has been open and honest there've also been some contradictions in things he's said around the finances.

Put the lad right if you think he's wrong. People telling him he's a mag/arsehole/whatever just look like they'll believe anything they're told as gospel.
I'm on his ignore list apparently

The club is still rebuilding and the owner said a week or two ago that costs need to be cut

Players like Rodwell unfortunately still have to be paid and that’s part of the current mess to sort out

Cash flow must be an issue still until we rid ourselves of we all know who

That’s my take on it as well

Right can't be arsed to read the thread to see if someone else has made this point already but calm down everyone - cash flow issues just means they've got a load of huge bills coming in an incredibly short space of time, not that Donald & co can't afford to run the club as it is - they have the money/will have the money over a longer period but can't necessarily get it all together in a week or so. It's fine

Not my point

At some stage, they will makea mistake or do something I strongly disagree with, that is life, it happens in every work place, every day of the year

Doesn't mean you are against them if you disagree with it, which seems to be the view on here.

This being the internet, there is no middle ground. If you think this place is bad I'd advise steering clear of Reddit...

He's consistently been shocked about how the club's finances were run.

Probably underestimated "hidden" costs like medical expenses, agents, legal fees etc from years of institutionalised fuckwittery.

They should only be short term so a loan could cover that.

Worrying.

Sunderland are facing cash-flow problems only one month after Stewart Donald's takeover of the club, with the new owner speaking to seven financiers about securing loans to help kick-start his regime.

What the fuck?

At no point yesterday in the pod cast did Donald say he was looking for loans to fund the day to day running of the club. I smell BS in the times and as its not Caulkin push the story it probably is.

He doesn’t want to honour the contract though. He wants out of the contract but to still be paid regardless. He is perfectly entitled to get paid what he agreed and the owner said as much, but he has to do his bit as well.

" he won't leave a penny behind "was the killer quote

Got to admit it’s a bit concerning if he is looking at putting the club back in to debt straight away.
I like the fact he is being so up front and honest though.

Apparently it is an unexpected bill for finances like the Alvarez debacle.
Donald is in talks with short so perhaps that is to say "look, here is another bill, you were supposed to leave us debt free in the agreement"
Maybe short will settle it.
Journalists making news probably.
