The Safety of Fans in the North Stand

I also spoke to the police outside the ground saying it’s a disgrace. The copper was just angry saying we are monitoring the situation outside the ground and couldn’t do anything inside.

So I hbe three very serious safety questions.

1) how is it allowed that they bring their own stewards who know nothing about the layout and safety protocols of our ground?

2) given especially last time we played them why didn’t the police steward it in the ground in their upper tier?

3) why do we persist in having away fans above us? Why not put them in a corner whereby we can control them in the lower bowl?

I’m angry about the potential for serious injury here. Why will it take before something is done.

Only other place they can go is back to the South Stand which people don't want

Plenty do think like that though. You're naive to think otherwise. The Central station bother is a perfect example. It was mag coppers looking to set about Sunderland fans and stitch them up. I've given the example of a copper referring to our fans as Mackem fucks. And others on here have had bother with mag plod.

To be honest mate where I police, Sunderland are more bother than Newcastle.

So all be it there is some elements to the truth in the central station craic. We don’t help ourselves in certain situations.

This however is a disgrace by NoPol, protect the people from glass bottles ffs. Literally kids. Or at least lock up those who have done.

They should definitely put up some sort of mesh /netting.

Won't stop everything but will stop a lot, especially if they have a double layer.

After Sheff Wed away under Keane, I was called a mackem twat by a copper in central station after the mags tried to cause a bit of bother

Not suggesting othereise. I'm simply pointing out up here, football plays into everything, and having a majority mag police force to police our games will result in issues. It's daft up here, football rivalry runs through absolutely everything.

I thought after we go up this year all prem league teams need to put away fans pitch side (except for isis united who get away with giving away fans the worst seats in the ground)
 
In the 5-4 game they threw down carrier bags full of human piss and shit. One landed on my 80 year old aunties lap.
Coventry fans & Sunderland fans just think about that!
It’s f***ing disgusting.
Nothing has been done since and she has not been back.
Ban the clubs who do this stuff and improve cctv up there.
