Haven't read the whole thread but, quite frankly, I agree mate. It's cringe-worthy. When I heard the mags were going to get a plane to fly over their place to protest Ashley I thought it was pathetic. I think this idea is worse. Can't we just support our own team and let those fuckwits up the road get on with all the self-embarrassment?

finds it petty for us to wind up the mags but finds its acceptable to wind up mackems.

Let people have some fun. It's only that. Fun.

It maybe tacky according to some, but it's a good way of showing 'banter' instead of fighting in Fawcett street or Central station.

Leave the lads and lasses alone on this message board who want to have their day in the air!

If you say so marra. I can just imagine going to work in Newcastle the morning after and being embarrassed about it. Each to their own I suppose.

I'm not stopping them mate, and I agree it's fun to some and wouldn't argue otherwise. However, if people keep asking me the same questions, is it not my right to respond with my opinion? I'm not just randomly coming back in here and posting, I'm responding to people who have quoted me.

The two meltdowns further up this page brought a chuckle, I must admit.

This is a private thread though, and I assume it's to stop the world from knowing what's going to happen; if someone started a public thread that would expose it. Besides, it's only the pro plane brigade that seem to want a new thread being made - is there anything stopping you from starting one?

Also, do we really need a separate thread to discuss whether or not we think it's a good idea? This is a genuine question by the way. If you're just wanting this thread specifically to raise awareness and get people to donate, surely a separate thread for whether people think it's a good idea or not should have been started right at the beginning?
