The plane fly past is back on...

if they were 5th bottom and had just been humiliated at home and Steve Wraith was organising a plane to celebrate their 5 in a row ( having equalled ours of a decade ago) to fly over our game on Sunday we would be ripping the piss out of the sad Geordie twat.........

And if they then subsequently went down we wouldn't shut up about it..........

That's just the way things are, I'm surprised so few can see that.

Whatever we do, they will take the piss, regardless and vice/versa.

I agree to some extent but that's not how it played out here.

In this instance some other wraith types tried to organise a protest plane first...

The Palace result happened after the total was reached and deposit paid. Typical Sunderland :-)

Yes but the point of that is there will be very few of them and to be honest SAFC supporters who are aware of that so whilst you and others on here know that in the grand scheme of things its not well known and therefore irrelevant..........

We know that though, so every time they try and take the piss about this plane, we can remind them we just took their idea and did a better job of it.

We beat them on the pitch, in the terraces and now in the air!

I personally think mate things should have been totally thought through and waited until after the Palace result but it gained momentum and was taken to the point of no return too soon..........

However it has to go ahead now having gone that far or else you will get the Chronicle running the alternative story of how the project was bottled due to us being crap.........

Of course it does, it would be ten times more embarrassing to back out of it whatever you think of the idea.

More people donated to get the idea going than have said they don't want it to go ahead anyway.

Apparently ours is funny because it's a reaction to their failed attempt, whereas to pretty much everyone that sees them it will be their plane laughing at us which will be the reaction, and hence the supposed funny one. It's bizarre that people can't see this.

But it's okay, we can all chuckle to ourselves because our small insignificant community know the real truth.
