The plane fly past is back on...

Why are you acting like this?

I'm not 'acting' like anything. If you read the thread you'll see I've come in for a load of unjustified verbal abuse throughout (from a certain number of posters, not all of course), and as soon as I make one little comment I'm jumped on with yet more personal insults. There are even people on this thread who have admitted they want this to happen even more to spite fellow Sunderland fans who don't want it. It's absolutely pathetic and I'm well within my rights to defend my corner. I even started another thread so that this thread wouldn't be de-railed and could focus on donations, but that got largely ignored. Nothing I can do about that.

I've not given out anywhere near what I've taken in this thread, and a few people really need to climb down off their pedestals.

The majority are though...have you not seen the poll. Disregard the fact that people such as me and Gasman have clicked no despite wanting a plane and donating for one - it is totally accurate

It's clear that it's a pretty even split, wouldn't you agree?

Which has surprised me, as there were times there only seemed to be a select few against it.

It's hardly surprising to see a few more people come out as against the idea after the match on Saturday. The thing is it doesn't change anything.

I would say the majority of our support know nothing about it or don't care, the people who were for the idea from the start, understand the joke, have donated for it and are mostly happy to see it go ahead. There are some who are worried it's going to damage our reputation or give the Mags more ammunition so they don't want it to go ahead.

Looks to be fairly evenly matched for the big punchup that will ensue as it comes overhead, aye

It's gonna be mags that see it overhead man, not us ;)

We ain't playing so I expect everyone is turning out around the stadium to fight for or against the plane - it seems to have riled enough people on each side.

They won't be able to see it from home anyway - boycott day remember
