Shawshank is the unimaginative/non film watcher trying to be hipster persons response to 'favourite film'. It's like saying Only Fools is your favorite comedy.

Haway man take the blinkers off. He’s been phoning it in for decades. Not funny and plays the same bemused, detached oddball in every fillum.Imagine not liking Bill Murray.![]()

Chocolat and as good as it gets would be in there for meSomeone at The Guardian has published the results from a survey (source unknown so far) as to which films the nation sees as boring. For me, there are one or two classics in there.
I wonder if it's because folk are becoming a bit impatient with everything these days? For example, I read that (musical) artists are now trying to get the hook into a song within the first 30 seconds, simply so it suits the Spotify generation.
Anyway, here's that list...
1. 50 Shades of Grey
2. The Blair Witch Project
3. Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
4. Brokeback Mountain
5. Transformers
6. The Postman
7. The Artist
8. Australia
9. Vanilla Sky
10. Seven Years in Tibet
11. Batman and Robin
12. 2001: A Space Odyssey
13. The Matrix Revolutions
14. Showgirls
15. Far and Away
16. The Tree of Life
17. Noah
18. Meet Joe Black
19. Lincoln
20. Cleopatra
Groundhog Day is a classic. I pity you.Haway man take the blinkers off. He’s been phoning it in for decades. Not funny and plays the same bemused, detached oddball in every fillum.
It's easy if you try.
One of the most boring films for me and I've just had to look up the title was The Hi-Lo Country, a forerunner to Brokeback Mountain with Woody Harrison. I was doing shifts in the Tyneside Cinema at the time and over the course of a week I think I had to sit through it about 4 times. Deathly.
Kingpin anarl marra.Groundhog Day is a classic. I pity you.
Zombieland is another.
Ye not wrong Wilfy lad. Quality film.Kingpin anarl marra.
Yes indeed. I'm afraid his work often has the same effect on me.Stephen Frears, I believe.

Fuck off man.And Seven was shite snarl with the most predictable ending I’ve ever predicted.
i think that's the bit that i don't like about it, because yes you're right its not... but actually it is - which <spoiler alert> you get to find out at the end, which makes me think what a f***ing waste of two hours of my life, its the plot twist i don't like... just like black swan, expect as said at least you got to see portman flick her bean in the bath so there at least some point to those two hours of your life...It's not just about that though is it...
The only film that has actually made me angry that I wasted part of my life watching it.Two that stick in my mind are
Lost in Translation
The Royal Tenenbaums
Over 4 hours of my life I’ll never get back
Did not know that. Filmed in proper cameras, nice race scene at the end with lots of old school Hollywood horse stunts,Was nearly released under the title "As Sure As the Moon".
Don't ask me why I know this, for I have no idea.
TGPH is one of my favourite films. It's entrancing. Also any film that includes the line "She was shaking like a shitting dog" gets 10/10 from me.
It's album tracks, too - but you know that.
Still waiting for something to happen. I was told it was one of the best everget THE DEER HUNTER on there. barr the russain roulette scene, that is one long, drawn out boring piece of shit
