I don't watch sunderland ladies, but I look out for their results, and would care if after a game they sang a totally inappropriate song.Likewise aberdeen.I know I have upset the cricket snobs on here enough for them to have a little cry and get all sweary though, so I won't upset yous anymore

There are people who won’t associate with Newcastle . Maybe it’s just feels different to actually be from Sunderland but banging your bat and singing about the Scotswood road or Collingwood street is nonsense like.

Each to their own I guess but I'd not let it bother myself if that was the case, it's a song at the end of the day. It's a song about an event in County Durham as far as I'm concerned but on the whole the lads can sing whatever they wanted as long as they keep winning which they have done in superb manner this year and will be collecting a well deserved trophy in 2 weeks time. I know many members from Sunderland who have no problem with the song. It seems it's the football non attenders who have the issue which is a bit daft really. If the club announced tomorrow they are scrapping the song, the same people moaning still wouldn't attend. Just keep winning and keep singing the song as far as I'm concerned.

and that’s lovely for you and those from Sunderland that go . But it is a song that is about people from Newcastle . That’s why it is a renowned NUFC anthem . How superb Durham have been or what they win is irrelevant . It will mean nothing to many people because of the Newcastle stuff

I and many others couldn't care less about those people. They're absolutely meaningless to the club and the club won't be the slightest bit arsed either and rightly so. The fact Sunderland fans lifted the tune of a "Newcastle Anthem" and changed the words seems to be acceptable which I find odd logic

It's an interesting point. Durham ccc really lacks identity, it's all over the place. It's probably why the crowds are so poor, nobody knows what they are getting behind.
