I think engineering reports have concluded it is feasible, though I don't know the implications for the station. That's just what I've heard in passing. Station may need to be closed to allow for the foundations to be piled. Could be academic if land has been sold off without the club retaining some means of control of it in the future.

East stand expansion a no go due to presence of Leazes Terrace, which is a Grade I Listed Building (national importance, and bloody beautiful I might add.

The mighty Toon Army haven't celebrated a league title or celebrated a major trophy at Wembley for over 60 years.

Wigan won the FA Cup in 2013 by beating a Manchester City side including Kompany, Silva, Toure, Nasri, Aguero & Tevez.

Wigan had a gate of 8 thousand during that cup run ..... absolute proof that Newcastle's supporters actually prevent them winning anything :lol:

They even had to win the Fairs Cup, or 'European Cup' as they like to call it, 1,000 miles away from the disruptive influence of the Mags.

Ironically Newcastle were dumped out by Brighton, in the 3rd round, which just shows how history can repeat itself ;)

We have been proper shite for 10 years, apart from the 5th place season. Have only finished in higher than 10th in the premier league on one occasion in the last 10 years. 2 relegations in that time, and another 2 relegation battles.
