The Mag delusion

A rare breed.
Generally gobshites who spoke about nothing but what loyal fans they were before the Middle East money came their way.
The only away fans who's first chant is WWYWYWS.
Good lads who were down to earth and football fans. Always had good support.

Im sure I read a while ago regarding this and was an issue with buildings around there and the council also? Wasn't sure exactly on the criteria which was preventing this mind...

My understanding of it is that ever since we expanded the ground in 2000 we had the option of the land behind Gallowgate for further expansion. This was recently waived by Mike Ashley in favour of planned student accommodation.

There was talk of a Supercasino around 10 years ago before Ashley bought the club but this has since been shelved.

Behind Gallowgate is the only place where we can expand but that's up in the air at the minute with some saying the land has been sold off with conditions to allow for an expansion and some saying that the condition isn't in.

too right it's up in the air, you'd need oxygen just to get up them stairs. I doubt they'd be able to build there due to the proximity of the metro station.

I actually think they made a mistake buying man city

One of the few clubs I actually like, I just think it was bizzare buying a club sharing s city with the biggest club in the world

Far too competitive

Name whats wrong about it.

43k average check
40m spend check
Shearer manager check

Colocinni and guttierez were 23m by themselves

Shearer's 4 home games in charge

52K
47K
51K
52K

I mean, I'm not a mathematician or owt but I think that's higher than 43K average.

Posted this before but I used to work for a company in Blyth and we were talking about the Arab when it was announced he was buying Man City when one of the owners came in the office and asked what we were talking about. We told her about the deal and she replied "Oh, I told him to buy Newcastle". Turned out that unbeknown to us she was a personal friend and often socialised with Mansoor when she was in our Dubai office. She later married one of his friends.

I've heard a similar story off my Ex Father-in-Law who worked for the government out there but about City. My Ex's Dad who was in constant contact with the Royal Family reckons he knows the lad who recommended Man City to the Sheikh.

Probably just a bullshit story like as he was pissed when he told me , but if true I wish my ex's old man got their before that other bloke, as he's a Sunderland fan. I'd never get bored of going Wembley and ramming it down the Mags throats.

08/09 the year we were relegated we averaged 49,000. At the time, that's more than Man City & SAFC had averaged in their entire history.

The following season we averaged 43,000 in the Championship. 2k less than 5th placed Man City and 3k more than 13th placed SAFC achieved in the Premier League.

Are you saying 43k in the second tier is poor, just for future reference?

Mags on about crowds I bet you didn't hear this much before 1992

"After looking at buying Newcastle, they instead bought Manchester City, how the owners must regretting it with latest Wembley embarrassment."

:lol::lol::lol:

Want to know what's embarrassing, lads? Being one of the only clubs in the football league to have never played there

How could it be more embarrassing

It's like they're all frustrated 13 year old boys ...... 'That girl looked at me ..... I think she's in love!'

Nee one gives a fuck man. Yes you get good crowds so f***ing what you're a one city club with a huge population including fans from Gateshead Northumberland South Tyneside etc.

A bet all the Chelsea man city Leicester Blackburn fans couldn't sleep after winning the premier league because Newcastle get more fans for a home game.

You lot are f***ing obsessed with getting more fans than other clubs but it means fuck all and you win fuck all
