I’ve just got a bog standard sideboard type TV stand and I have a real fire in the house, no need for a fake one

Strangley enough at this very moment I am having the Jacobean oak panelling that surroundes the main fire place torn out of Elmwood Towers and I am replacing it with some nice melamine wall units from Ikea with the telly in the middle.

Hadn't thought of painting the window frames grey though - but thanks for the tip.

I haven't got one as I have always preferred a TV to be on an industrial, wooden style unit, but some 'media walls' that I have seen in kitchen / living spaces look good to be honest.

Sounds like you have a 32 inch telly with a big black edgeing on it placed nicely on a glass tv stand.

Just hung mine on the wall. The sockets and whatnot are behind it so hides the spaghetti junction

Haven’t got one but if they’re done well they can look pretty good. Much neater than a stand stuck in a corner with the jumble of wires on show.

Is it this forum that has a huge problem with tellys on the wall and considers black glass/pine corner TV units to be peak interior fashion?
