This isn’t the sole fault of the 100 though. These horrific batting displays have been happening for years.

Stokes’ Headingley miracle happened after we’d been bowled out for ~70 in the first innings.
I think focus on white ball cricket had meant less big test scores, but think that is worldwide as the focus as shifted more to white ball, no more so than India themselves.

It’s not just England but everywhere, it’s not as if we are not focusing as much on red ball cricket and other countries are, far from it!

I think FTECB have shot themselves in the foot with all the games behind the Sky paywall. I had a few non cricket fan friends who were just getting into it and now lost interest.
Exactly, defeating the entire object of starting it in the first place

To be honest I have watched very little of it because I find it such an unappealing product full of hyperbole and excessive razzmatazz and lacking in any real honest sporting integrity
The Tv production ,presentation and graphics are more circus than cricket
The commentary and punditry is horrendously gushing with excessive exaggeration of mundane cricket play and shots
There is no real true identity or background to the manufactured sides which real supporters can latch on to..
It’s like the Archie’s ( sugar ,sugar) meets the Spice Girls ( wannabes)
Old fashioned I may be but of the little I have seen I think it is a poor second rate sporting with a very small s product

Summed it up well. I've actually watched a lot of this after saying I wouldn't but its been no better than the Blast and in many ways worse (e.g. the obsequious commentary). I've actually found the women's tournament more interesting as its a whole new pantheon of players and the game is subtly different (e.g. the wicket keeper is a lot more prominent than in the men's game).
