Talk about generalisation!

That’s impossible to know, totally impossible, some might only want to play that format and others seeing it might want to play longer in club cricket as they exposed to cricket by seeing it first in the hundred.

Then they would already have an interest in cricket. We've recently been to a 20/20 and 50 over international final. Of that isn't going to encourage kids, then a different concept isn't going to suddenly make them think it's great

Not sure how you or I could know that, when it has not even started!

Isn’t the point getting people interested in cricket who were not before?

Because no one had wanted it, no one even understands it, it cuts out most counties and areas in England, and it's not cricket, it's harming our 50 over game in which we are world champions. Literally all they had to do if they really felt it necessary is put 20/20 on BBC 3 or ITV2. Would have saved a fortune rather than risk county cricket. The reason participation is low is due to facilities, weather, football and time. I love cricket and even I got tired of playing 50 over cricket on a Sunday in cold miserable weather.
 
Seems like a very good idea to me, they want to make it an 'event' ......If they are serious about it then they will prepared to do this to whatever extent is necessary

They need bodies and atmosphere if it is to have any chance

Not if by doing so you lose those who were into cricket before.

the female presenter on the pitch on sky has absolutely no idea what she is talking about.... literally reading off a sheet of paper in her hand. she has absolutely no confidence in what she is saying :lol:
 
The only good thing about the hundred is good coverage on BBC so non sky viewers can see cricket

It’s totally rubbish though
