The Hundred - Free tickets

Are you suggesting that cricket (the game itself) will die if the 16.4 isn’t successful?
No I am saying cricket need more exposure to flourish at club level and needs more volunteers at that level.

Any form of the game that gets that I will support.

As I said before at the moment the game of cricket is getting more exposure that’s a good thing not a bad thing!!

I don’t know how more clear I can make myself, I don’t support the hundred (16.4) or whatever people call it.

I support the fact a format of the game of cricket is getting more exposure on the telly and into peoples homes

Oh, we’re back to this, can you please now answer the question you ignored a few minutes ago:

How is taking elite cricket away from 10 of the 18 grounds that currently host it going to improve the exposure of the game…..?

I can’t say I haven’t enjoyed some of the games as I would be lieing ,I’ve especially liked watching the woman’s game as it’s great exposure and first time I’ve really seen a lot of these players .

Still have massive doubts about how this is good for our domestic game long term though

I could list a dozen reasons why people don't get into cricket other than t20s too long and that it's not on bbc

My brother took his boy and mate to headingley last night. Both the young uns are all about football and pretty ambivalent towards cricket.

They absolutely loved it. My nephew is almost pleading his dad to take him to London to watch the game on Tuesday night. Surely this is what the 100 is all about?

My brother absolutely loved it himself. Said the place was rocking towards the end.

Was there yesterday and agree.

Biggest win for me was having the men and women playing as part of the same ticket - felt really positive/hopefully the IPL will do likewise. The game itself doesn’t feel much different to T20 though, other than a slightly higher calibre of player (I thought beating an attack with Curran, Topley, Narine and Mahmood was good going).

Been incredible for the women's game. Think it's opened the game up to so many more people and I think most have been impressed by the quality in their games.

Totally understand the nervousness from a county perspective but I think its been a massive positive to cricket in this country.

Let's hope it gets more involved/interested in the game. I think it will.

Just curious but what time did the game actually finish last night? And how long did it take to get back into Leeds city centre?

I have friends who never really watch cricket texting me asking me if I am watching this

Which really really annoys me as I dont understand why they'd watch this and notlike Lancashire v Yorkshire on Sky, which is a much much better product

is it just more advertising so they've heard about it or someit?

Some of the comments are brilliant

Pretty much.

which is the frustrating thing. we had a product that could have been marketed

I have took a dislike to Morgan now that I really need to shake, as I just cant stand the destain he talks about county cricket and the blast with

forgetting that it produced every single player than will probably end up with him getting knighted.

I didnt go mate. Brother went. But he drove from York. Think midweek games finish just after 9 and Saturday games maybe half an hour earlier.

If in a rush you can usually get a taxi back into the centre alright. Taxi would be 10 mins but may have to wait a few mins to get one. You can get train and bus. Train quicker but would have to check times.

Yes, whether the traditionalists like it or not, its here to stay imho. So its tough.
15k at Lords to watch a women's game is amazing.
