The Hundred 2023

in what context, both mens games have had decent close finishes
Yeah they were close, decent finish. Coming onto the field through a door like the wrestling, the graphics (as you’ve mentioned) are hideous. I don’t know where to look, the franchises, probably part of it is that there’s no affiliation with it not coming higher than Leeds.

That said I’m not a huge fan of T20 and love my test cricket so maybe it’s just something im not going to be keen on.

Thursday 3rd August

Women 3pm
Northern Supercharges v Birmingham Phoenix
Headingley, Leeds

Men 6.30pm
Northern Supercharges v Birmingham Phoenix
Headingley, Leeds

Proper Yorkshire cricket fans will be at the Roses game at Scarbados. Another braindead scheduling decision from the organisers. You’d think they wanted their own competition to fail

Translates to "plenty tuned in then switched off because it's shite"
Also this video is "interesting" -

Yeah, I already saw that - the mouth giving away what the head and heart already knows

I hate it when I say the silent part out loud
That hasn't started yet due to rain and wet outfield

Which has absolutely nothing to do with the point that was made about double booking both of ‘Yorkshire’s’ teams.

Saw the news report of "The London Derby" last night on Sky Sports News, and plenty of empty seats on show, for what I'd imagine is one of the showcase games at Lords for this competition. Surely that can't be pleasing the organisers given the exposure and money this has had thrown at it.

This fixture used to regularly sell out when scheduled properly in the Blast

I wonder when the ECB will issue a statement saying he mis-spoke.
It’s his final year as he’s stepping down from the ECB after this year’s competition, which may be where the slip came from.

Personally think that they should swap over to T20, but given the length of the broadcast deals (another four years on sky’s I think?) there’s going to be a city-based franchise comp of some sort in this slot for at least the next few years. Don’t really see where moaning on year after year gets us. As with lots of short form stuff I’m content to enjoy what I can of it (I’ll happily drop in on most competitions if they’re available on TV in the UK) while being fully aware that the longer form of the game is much more engaging.

Yeah I agree swapping it over to 20 overs should hopefully make it more familiar to fans.

Which hopefully will get more watching it, then we can get rid of some of the immaturity on this board who are actually making fun of less people watching cricket.

When we actually need more watching it

Having a team to support less than 90 miles away is a bit more important than number of overs like.

This is all a bit embarrassing to read. There isn't a medal for who claims to hate the Hundred the most. The Hundreds is amazing at getting kids into the sport, which cricket seems to be struggling with at the moment.

How dare the players go and set themselves up for when their short careers end.
Yeah must be thousands of young kids in the North East who are loving being taken to see the hundred on their doorstep.....................
