Just had a look at the line-up for the game last night via bbc sport and I'm shocked at the lack of "big names" given the fanfare/money/advertising this has had thrown at it. Pretty naff
It’s a shitshow marra

If you’re running that argument you should get your maths right. 44 counties (or 30 ECB county boards if you prefer) have been denied access to games compared with the 34 (or 20) that don’t get a go in the Blast. The Hundred is proving itself to be a waste of time as each game passes. There's little difference in the product and 10 venues/counties have been denied access
Welcome aboard! The one I put on for 5 minutes yesterday didn’t look any better attended or any more diverse than a typical Blast game.
Possibly, but it isn’t on ‘life support’ because of any other reason than the mishandling and sheer incompetence of the ECB - some would argue intentionally.
Just look at what they’ve done to the 50 over competition, we’re world champions and we’re about to go an defend that title - yet the domestic 50 over competition, just like the T20 has been downgraded too. Intentionally.
To watch the Ashes you either needed Now tv at £20 month or a Sky Sports subscription at £20 a month on top of a basic sky package, the majority of the Hundred is freeCome again?
Wonder what the comparison is to the Blast attendance?
raining at Lords now too, Glad they played all the tests before AugustI take the Rain to win.....![]()
There aren’t 44 First Class counties, so what are you on about ?If you’re running that argument you should get your maths right. 44 counties (or 30 ECB county boards if you prefer) have been denied access to games compared with the 34 (or 20) that don’t get a go in the Blast.
Doesn’t matter who I or any other individual supports, everybody as an individual is allowed to spend their hard earned money on what team or any match they want to watch. They do.
There was nothing about ‘enjoying yourself’ in the post. You don’t need to make shit up to make your point, the rest would’ve sufficed.
You’re right, they don’t have to justify it to anyone - but then you’ve never supported Durham so it wouldn’t matter to you anyway.
So go on then. Argue it, but there a cleverer people than me who think it’ll be the death of county cricket.
Compare it to what the Blast attendance would’ve been if it had the money and time invested into it that this competition has and then you’ll have a fairer comparison.
It won’t offer anything extra.
Yet it won’t attract anywhere near the numbers that the excellent Ashes Series that has just finished did.
So less than what every Football team in the top 2 tiers and both Prem Rugby teams in the catchment area get.According to BBC figures Trent bridge capacity is 17500. The mens game had 12000 in and the women's game had 8000 in. They will promote that as "good numbers", but first game, all the money pumped into this, propaganda, advertising etc that's pretty poor I reckon
Of course it’s clear as day rightly or wrongly that other countries are not playing as much 50 over cricket domestically, Ashwin from India mentioned the other day he hardly plays it.What are the ECB to do with County Cricket? its feeder system for the Test team and nothing more, test cricket seems to be thriving, County Cricket has been the ginger step child since i started following it in the early 90's
Do many other countries put resource behind it?? Couldnt even name a 50 over competition in another country or identify a team by a kit

Without another individual calling them a traitor!
It’s the pettiness and childish statements that gets me from adults on this boardIs this a genuine question?? The ECB created the 16.4 at the detriment of the county game. Not remember the bribe they paid the counties to shepherd it through?
Yep. Never once said otherwise. This isn’t the Third Reich.
You’re not a Durham supporter so you’re not in the firing line, stop worrying about it.
