The Handmaid's tale

Son of Stan

Brilliant final episode and set up very nicely for another good series.
Loved the way Aunt Lydia was starting to soften in the last couple of shows
To be fair that's basically how the book ended - so it would have worked even if it didn't get a second series. I think the writing has been tremendous to flesh it out to 10 episodes. And I loved the whole look of the show with its coordinated colours too - reds and teals etc in the clothes and interiors.

Canny. Had to watch the last one in the daytime as I worried it'd be too scary!
Had the sound mute for the mutilation scene and kept looking away

Damn, too many TV shows to watch - everything starting in April.

Quite enjoyed the first season, I think the missus liked it more than me so will definitely watch the new season.

Son of Stan

It was ok like but nowhere near as good as Alias Grace. Not even in the same league tbh.

I enjoyed both. The Handmaid's Tale for me had more of an effect as it was more disturbing and certain scenes stayed with me long after. I think you are probably in a very small group in thinking it's 'not in the same league', however. Your opinion, fair enough.

Well, the handmaids' choir looks quite entertaining:

 Always loved Ron B dressed as a woman. He hated it apparently.
