The end of dodgy Firesticks ?

Smart tellys don’t need a firestick anyway. It’s only to convert them into a smart one. None story unless Sony and LG etc are also bothered, which they won’t be.

Not strictly true as many smart TVs dont have apps for certain streaming services. We have a small cheap one in our bedroom that doesn't have Disney for example

But you can get IPTV apps and load them onto your TV, afaik any smart TV, I have smart IPTV, think it was 5 euro's or thereabouts for lifetime updates.
Load your ermm channelist, M3u, via their website (or your provider does) and off you go.
It's just an app for your TV, it doesn't provide the channels.

They're cheap and convenient that's why the IPTV folk recommend them. They'll just recommend something else instead and the world will carry on.

If it did stop there's not a chance I'd pay for Sky. All that money you pay and they still put adverts on.

You have been able to pick the equivalent up for about 15euro for years - add that to a 15 euro a year subscription and its not hard to see why people go down that route

So whats the consense now to go for? Firestick 4k plus for £60?
If you’re not in a rush bide your time they seem to reduce them from time to time, bought one in March and another in April for 33.99, argos also had them reduced to same price.

if you don’t already have it install hotukdeals and set an alert for fire stick
