I love The Cure though. I got into them when O'range was shown on tv and it bkew me away as Id always thought they were a bit weird. After that I realised there was no such thing as weird, thus opening a gatweay for me with alternative music. Disintegration is a masterpiece and Just Like Heaven is absolute perfection
Always thought he looked a bit like Terry Hall at that point.
When I was a kid in the eighties, The Cure were my band. More than the Smiths, more than New Order, more than the Bunnymen, even more than Stump. Every album the day it came out. Great song after great song.

they were excellent closing meltdown the other week. i never thought i'd ever get to see them in a small venue again mate. played a very obscure set anarl. shame their recorded output is mainly guff since 92 there

Agree better than the Smiths, definitely better than New Order, not sure about the Bunnymen though but Stump were brilliant (but yes the Cure were a better band)!

Just seems to be odd how people say bands are better than others. Not arsed myself. Just enjoy the music. Who cares?
You were the one who posted that the Cure were my band 'more than' the likes of the Smiths. If that's not saying you think they are better then fair enough and I've misunderstood. Agree it's took an odd twist this like considering we like similar music!
